INTENSIVE TRANSLATION PROGRAM 2024

This year the LTWA is conducting its 17th three-month ITP from July to September. Anyone interest in the program must reach their application at the LTWA administrative office along with copies of the required documents not later than the extended date, 28th June 2024.

Required Documents
A letter with signature stating that one can participate and stay for the whole program.
A copy of one legal ID (e.g. RC, Aadhaar card, passport etc.)
A copy of class XII certificate or equivalent, proving a minimum knowledge of Tibetan and English.

The LTWA will select and enroll a maximum of twenty five students on the basis of first-come, first-served. A monthly scholarship of ₹ 5,000 (five thousand) for the duration of the program will be provided.

Composition
The program will comprise ten teachers/instructors, twenty five students and support staff and will be supervised Venerable Geshe Lhakdor, LTWA Director.

Teachers and subjects to be taught
There will be eight regular teachers – two for Buddhist philosophy and two for Tibetan language, one English language and three for translation methodology. Additionally, there will two instructors for co-curricular activities. The number of teachers may change in the event of their unavailability.
